Let me explain

If you read my last entry, you knew something was in the works. In the next week or two, I'm going to be upgrading from my 29g and my 55g to a 280g Starfire tank. This is exciting and a bit nerve-wracking as I'm going to have to prepare the spot for the tank.

I'm getting it used, but it is only 6 months old. I'll be taking pictures of the progress. The basic plan is to cut a hole in the garage wall that faces the living room and continue around the corner to the section that faces the kitchen. Once the tank is in place, it will be viewable from the living room and from the end that faces the kitchen.

Inside the garage, I'm going to add a couple of interior walls to create a fish room, and block out the heat of summer / cold of winter. I'm going to have to relocate the water heater, and build a strong platform for the tank to sit upon.

Some plumbing will have to be moved where the water heater was, as wil some electrical outlets.
