An acrylic reservoir holds Top-Off water near the sump, limiting how much total water can be added to the reef in a single session. This protects your livestock from dangerous salinity swings. Use an automatic top off system with this reservoir to replenish what evaporates daily.

8" wide x 12" deep x 20" tall holds 8-gallons. Cover lid is made of polycarbonate to avoid warping, drilled for 3/8" tubing. Previous versions (see other pictures) were made with a hinged lid, but the newer version is stronger with better access to refill container. The notch in the access port is designed for the top off pump's power cord.
