An Indiana LFS

While attending MACNA, a number of people told me I just had to check out Sandy's Pet Shop.
This place was big, clean, and had a lot of saltwater livestock, including corals of all kinds.
Sandy's contributed toward the 120g RR Grand Prize this year.

This is the store's showpiece, and a number of MACNA attendees were impressed with the livestock.

The sump was in a roll-out drawer, for full access. The owner asked me later if I'd checked it out, but I hadn't.

This shot is from the left end of the tank.

I took two shots of these Montipora capricornis, and loved them equally. So you get to view them both. :)

If you'd like a larger version for your desktop wallpaper, click on the framed shots for a 1280 x 960.

This acro quickly caught my eye. Purple, blue, pink.... aaaah.

Acropora sp grow in many positions, even when started horizontally.

A very large Derasa clam with a smallish hitchhiker, and a beautiful Sohal Tang.

Purple Linkia!

It moved pretty quickly, in search of a snack.

In a different tank in the rear of the store, this tang seemed to love my camera.....

....so I took the shot!

An eel wanted to pose as well.

Several people I know love Puffers, so I took a few pictures of this very active fish.

Trust me, he was tough to focus on, because he moved around constantly, but seemed to enjoy the attention.

This strange red algae caught my eye.

Ever seen it before? It was textured and thick and seemed to grow in layers.
