The Angled Tank Turns Two!

My tank turns two years old today! It is in the tiny entry way/foyer of my home. It holds about 20g of water, with an angled front panel to look down upon many of the corals. Here's a picture of it from June 2008 when I installed the light fixture finally.

Maintenance
Water changes are every two months (when I work on the 280g)
Vodka dosed daily (to the 280g system, which this tank is tied into)
Panels scraped about once a month to reduce coralline spots
Vortech pump cleaned about once every six weeks
The angled panel stays algae free and rarely needs to be cleaned at all.

Here are a few images of the tank's transition over the past couple of years.

The MP20's power supply went out, and for now I'm using a MaxiJet to provide flow in the tank. This has changed how the RBTA expands in the tank.

News...

The Model F sump page has been updated with newer images of a recently built sump using 3/8" acrylic. You can also see the bubble tower incorporated in all sumps now.

Last weekend I went on a collection trip to Port Aransas and brought home a bunch of peppermint shrimp and nerite snails. It was pretty neat to get them 'for free' - if you can ignore travel expenses, mosquito bites, and drive time. ;) Here are the pages.

Early last week, I ordered 8 Lyretail Anthias from Live Aquaria. That was the first time I've ever ordered fish online, and I had a great experience. A page for that order will be added as well, so you can see all the pictures.

The Angled Tank is finally up and running. A few pages for that build will be added soon. Here is one picture from the new tank. It is my current favorite, and makes a great background for my desktop. If you want to use it as well, click on the image to get the larger version.

Submissions continue to come in for the Logo contest. July 31 is the cutoff date.
