This algae is called Dictyota. I saw it on a coral at the local fish store. It can be recognized by the way its leaves split. I've never had it in my tanks, so I can't offer further information. If you have additional information, contact me.

I unfortunately had this in my tank . It came in on a frag plug and I had a good cuc and didn’t think anything about it .Big mistake on my part , it grows like crazy . I tried everything to get rid of it , all kinds of snail , all kind of crabs , tried foxface , Hawaii naso tang kept my PO4 in check and nothing I tried would touch . I ended up have to take everything out of my tank rock , sand , plumbing and start completely over . This is some very very nasty stuff you never want it anywhere near your tank .
